Very recently, one of Philip’s closest friends got engaged and they had their engagement dinner at a Chinese restaurant back home. And that got me thinking about weddings and wedding cakes and wedding receptions and wedding invitations. I really believe that weddings should be grand and decadent affairs and that you shouldn’t invite any tom dick or harry. Why invite people that you only vaguely like or met from work. I hate the hotel ceremony bullshit with gaudy lights and disgusting food. I think I’ve mentioned this to Chai before and ok pathetic and cheesy as this may sound, I already have a list of people that I actually really like enough to invite hahaha. Very early I know, but there’s no such thing as too much planning. So I was poking around and thinking of potential venues to hold my ‘ceremony’ haha.. you know, the reception and the luncheon.. the works! And I came up with these:
1. Banyan Tree, Bintan
2. Waterside Inn, Bray, UK
3. La Manoir, Oxfordshire
4. Raffles Hotel, Singapore
5. Au Jardin, Singapore
Hahaha yes I am childish and full of bullshit… But yeah I’m really a huge fan of garden outdoorsy weddings. And fancy wedding cakes. And beautiful stationery in the form of wedding invitations. And pretty pretty flowers.
but of course, first you must find the right person to marry right? =)
